Loquen

Terms

Terms of sale and refund policy

Loquen is a dictation app for Mac. You pay $19 once, you can try it free for 7 days first, and you can have your money back within 14 days, no questions. The rest of this page says the same thing in more detail.

Who you are dealing with

Loquen is made by Nilesh Desai (“we”, “us”), in New Port Richey, Florida, USA. Orders are processed by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, who is the merchant of record: they take the payment, send the receipt, and collect and remit any sales tax or VAT. Their terms apply to the payment itself. These terms apply to the app and your licence to use it.

What you buy

Free trial

Loquen runs free for 7 days from first launch, with every feature and no card. When the trial ends, dictation pauses until you enter a licence key. Your settings, phrases, dictionary and history stay where they are.

Your licence

Refund policy

Fourteen days, full refund, no questions. If Loquen is not for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase, from the address you bought with or with your order number. The refund goes back to your original payment method through Lemon Squeezy, and the licence key is switched off. The free trial comes first so that it rarely comes to this.

What you need

An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) running macOS 15 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. Please use the free trial to check that Loquen works on your Mac and in your apps before you buy.

Using what it writes

Loquen turns speech into text, and speech recognition makes mistakes. You are responsible for reading and correcting what it writes before you rely on it or share it. Loquen is a writing tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not give medical, legal or professional advice.

Privacy Mode finds and replaces common identifiers before a paste. It is a tool, not a compliance programme. Detection is not exhaustive. Review every result before sharing. Meeting privacy laws such as HIPAA depends on how a whole practice works, and remains your responsibility.

Privacy

What Loquen does and does not send is set out in the privacy policy. In short: in Private mode, the default, nothing you say leaves your computer.

The fine print

We work hard to make Loquen reliable, and we fix what breaks. Beyond the refund above, the app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. If we change them, the new version is posted here with its date; changes do not reduce what you were promised when you bought.
